Take and deep breath and let it out very slowly now open your eyes and ask yourself how do I feel? Breathing, we take it for granted every time we take in a deep breath. We tend to not think about it until we are no longer able to do it on our own. Breathing is an essential part of our relaxation and calmness in our everyday lives, we are not just aware of it. Breathing is the focal point of our health and wellness and in other activities such as mediation, yoga, and prayer.
I really feel that the physical, spiritual, and mental aspects of a person are one. There is no one person that can live without one of these points in life. I believe as a caregiver and administrator that if a patient lacks a positive attitude and holds frustration, anger, and unforgiveness the patient will present with sickness and disease.
In the CD from Integral Health, The Path to Human Flourishing written by E. Dacher, focuses on breathing and letting of all the troubles of the mind and thought patterns that disrupts our calmness. There is one part of the CD that disrupted my thought and calmness is that sudden static loud boom noise that is suppose to be therapeutic. I can say that it was not the brightest idea of the CD maker and after that notion I was not at peace lol.
Overall, the message was quite impressive and with a positive focus not only on the subtle mind (which mean peace) but also the loving-kindness because with loving-kindness there can be no peace. I employ you to take time to breath and focus on the breath letting go all past and focus on the new you. Take care and be in good health.

Anthony I too had the loud static noise and instead of thinking it was therapeutic I immediately thought something is wrong. I then went to doc sharing and listened to the mp3 posted there and it does not have the static. I think our CD's are just broken. I agree that most of us take our breath and breathing for granted. From doing yoga for several years it has taught me to be aware of my breath and to control it. I also agree with your statement that if someone is harboring frustration, anger, or anything they will not benefit and will only remain sick. I suggest you try the exercise again with the one in doc sharing that will not scare you half way through.
ReplyDeleteHey Jessica,
ReplyDeleteThanks for you comments on the CD's. I thought it was just me and my electronics lol. The tape began so smooth then static but I will try the new tape and see how it goes. The sessions are so soothing a relaxing to the soul. There is also a music therapy on that CD. Oh this what I need after a hard days work in teh office or at the airlines. Take care and be in good health.
