The Power of Dreaming

Happy Wellness to yall, I hope that everything is fine so far on this cold Monday afternoon :). I wanted to educate you about dreaming. Most would say this is a goal message, but no (very important I may add). When you sleep at night, your brain goes through four stages of sleeping patterns. The most important one is the Rapid Eye Movement (REM). In this stage, your body paralyzes itself to prevent you from sleep walking or acting out your dreams. Patients with this issue state “something held me down or something attacked them in my sleep.” Nope, it is your brain shutting off the power to your rest of your body causing you to lie still until the cycle is over.
Dreaming detoxes the subconscious portion of your brain (you ID personality). This portion of your brain has the ability to think outside the laws of society. Think of this as the free spirited portion of your brain. It does what it feels is right despite the laws of the land that say differently. Most people dream good thoughts or thoughts that have meaning to them (forecasting). I’m sure that everyone has had a forecasting dream before, but the main focus is to educate you regarding the importance of dreaming. Have you ever had someone to wake you up while you were dreaming and you were more tired than before? It comes from that cycle of dreaming not being completed. People who do not dream have the tendency to become violent, irritable, and over exhausted. People who do not practice good resting habits tend to think slower and unable to perform the simpler task (i.e. basic mathematical equations, driving a car, or tend to become absent minded).
Patients that have problems sleeping may need the advice of a sleep therapist/practitioner. Most sleep disorders may become an indicator of chronic disease such as sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome (RLS), or other progressive metabolic diseases. A sleep study may be order by the specialist to investigate the etiology of your sleep patterns. Most patient are scored as having one or more sleeping disorder. If a sleep disorder is discovered, the patient might be prescribed a continuous positive airway Pressure (CPAP) or bi-level positive airway pressure (BIPAP).  I recommend, proper hydration during sleep, devote at least 6 hours devoted to rest, and lastly play soft music (i.e. Pandora SPA or other spa music) or watch landscaping videos to put you in a place of tranquility. If you believe that the patterns are getting worse, consult a sleep specialist in your area. Take care and be in good health.

The Healing Power of Flowers

Happy Wellness to Everyone, Did you know that flowers can promote healing. Flowers can filter the air especially when someone is ill, flowers may add a good aesthetic feel to the room to welcome peaceful energy, and flowers can even promote healing through the senses of the nostrils (aroma therapy). Flowers may also lower blood pressure, stress, and other chronic pathological diseases. I person ally enjoy flowers and enjoy having them around. Yes, I have other plants and I do talk to them. Call it strange but my plants live longer and they grow. Plants and flower do have the ability to feel happy, cry, and scream/warn other plants around them. Let you plants know what you are going to do and that you care. Try having flowers on your home. Take care and be in good health
